Death Note 2 Updates: Death Note is a 2017 American Supernatural thriller movie directed by Adam Wingard and written by Charles & Vlas Parlapanides and Jeremy Slater.

Death Note is inspired by the popular manga series by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. Original Death Note manga was released in 2003. Death Note turned out to be a big hitter for the online streaming platform.

The movie revolves around a Tokyo college student named Light Turner, who attempts to change the world into a utopian society without crime and found a supernatural book that has deadly powers and kills everyone whose name is in the book.

The college genius who discovered the book can kill anyone by just mentioning the name of the person in that book. This horror movie is produced by Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Masi Oka, Jason Hoffs, and Ted Sarandos.

The writer Greg Russo has an update that Death Note part 2 will be out soon, but Netflix has not released an official date yet. Greg Russo tweeted “Shaking things up. Got something new and cool in the works with the peeps at Netflix.

May take a little while but will be worth the wait. Stay tuned,”. He further added “Appreciate all the check-ins from #DeathNote fans,” writer Greg Russo said on Twitter.

“Have something very cool in the works for the franchise- can’t talk about it yet but it’s def alive and in good hands 😉 ?”. His Mortal Kombat reboot is currently filming, and he’s writing the Space Invaders movie and the Saints Row movie.

The movie is one of 10 Netflix movie sequels in the works right now. Many of the characters in the movie were killed, so maybe there will not be the same cast.
