Empires of New York Release Date, Cast, Plot and Other Details

Empires of New York Updates: New York is an iconic city. It is a city that never sleeps, it is a city of dreams, and it is a city of selfishness. Not surprisingly, there have been so many songs, books, and even movies about the seemingly magical city.

After all, much of this art has never glorified one of the city’s most prominent features yet to be mentioned: greed. That theme is narrated by a famous line-up mentioned by Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) in the 1987 film, ‘Wall Street’.

He says, The point is, ladies and gentlemen, that greed, in the absence of a better time is good. Greed is right. Greed works. love, knowledge – noting the increase in population.

Gekko was inspired by a real Wall Street realist, Ivan Boesky, who is one of five people likely to represent the New York City avarice.

Described by Golden Globe and Emmy Award winner Paul Giamatti, and placed in the midst of the greed, greed, and fame of 1980 in New York, ‘Empires of New York’ recounts the climatic rise of five icons that not only rebuilt the city but gave power to the world we live in today: Wall Street arbitrage king Ivan Boesky; New York’s wealthy queen Leona Helmsley; A courageous U.S. attorney Rudy Giuliani; powerful organized crime boss John Gotti; and media business and media future president of the United States Donald Trump.

Drawing on special interviews, untold stories, and secret tapes, the six-episode series follows five contemporary themes that shared an element of unity: the immeasurable need to win by all means.

They took advantage of a time that was marred by a series of cultural upheavals – MTV and 24-hour news, hip hop, drugs, the onset of AIDS – broke the rules, flaunted their wealth, and enjoyed the destruction of their enemies. And surprisingly, sometimes America loved them for it.

New York’s states include the most powerful iconic stories of the 1980s – revealing how their actions rebuilt the city, defined a decade, and permanently changed the American culture as a whole.

‘Empires of New York’ is produced by Industrial Media The Intellectual Property Corporation (IPC) and Fairhaven Films, with Eli Holzman and Aaron Saidman of IPC, and Matthew Galkin of Fairhaven as major producers. Luke Bauer is a major producer for CNBC. The series is directed by Matthew Galkin.
