Mr. Dukes, who lived in Hastings, returns to England. His charm flatterers ladies around; but Duke decides he won’t get into such fake love. Bridgeton, on the other hand, finds his influence powerful and believes he could help her find a respectable man to marry.
But soon when they meet over, Bridgerton falls for Duke.
