Scam 1992 Season 2 Update: The recent SonyLIV web series directed by Hansal Mehta Scam 1992 had really impressed its audience and they have to wait for a second season ever since. The storyline of the new drama series is based on the life of late stockbroker Harshad Mehta.
Scam 1992: Will a second season of the series come around?
Based on the book “The Scam: Who Won, who lost, who Got Away” written by Sucheta Dalal and Debashish Basu, this web series is directed by none other than Hansal Mehta himself. This series is based on the true event of a financial scandal that was executed by late stockbroker Harshal Mehta.
The show debuted on October 9 2020 on SonyLIV and instantly grasped the audience’s attention. The OTT platform that the show premiered in resulted in positive reviews. Not to forget that the cast did exceptionally good work and the screenplay was an add on to the show’s success.
As always, a show that performs really well leads to the question that can a season 2 of the series be expected, or did the show terminate there?
Scam 1992 Season 2: Can we expect Ketan Parekh to be in the show or how is he connected to Scam 1992?
Since we saw that Scam 1992 basically revolved around the roller coaster ride Stockbroker Harshad Mehta went through while executing the financial scam, the probability of seeing him as the protagonist of the next season as well is almost negligible.
If we are to believe Binged, there is also a chance that Scam 1992 becomes an anthology series. For those of you who don’t know, Ketan Parekh is a disciple of Harshad Mehta and was responsible for executing a scam that took place in 2001 known as the Ketan Parekh scam.
That co-author of The Scam: Who won, who lost, Who got away and journalist Sucheta Dalal was also a part of the investigators of this scam. Though there has been no official comment on the above, if this possibility comes into play, the anthology series could cover many other scams.
