Barbarians Updates: The upcoming historical series ‘Barbarians’ is all set to release on Netflix. This drama is set all the way back in 9 AD during the Teutoburg forest battle.

We can assure that the fans of shows such as Vikings and The Last Kingdom are bound to like this historical series. The story is about the Germanic tribes and their struggle to stop the rising of the Roman empire.

Barbarians: Release Date on Netflix

According to an official trailer dropped on September 23, 2020, Netflix has announced the release date of the historical drama Barbarians at the end that is October 23, 2020.

As per IMDb, the series consists of six episodes and as the series is a Netflix original, all the episodes will most probably drop at the same time with the viewers of the US having access to them from midnight.

We are hopeful that the fans waiting eagerly to watch the show in the US will have access to the series on the same day, 8 am onwards like most of the time.

Characters who will be appearing in all six episodes of Barbarians include Gaetano Aronica as Varus, Bence Ferenczi as Berulf Buddy Y, and Jeanna Goursand as Thusnelda, Tibor Milos Kriski as Berulf Buddy, Jeremy Miliker as Ansgar, and Laurence Rupp as Arminius.

The main cast also includes David Schütter playing Folkwin Wolfspeer and Bernhard Shütz will b seen playing Segestes.

Being a German series, most of the characters are from Germany but the shooting in Hungary has also brought in some Hungarian talent.

The trailer released by Netflix to appetize the wait for the historical drama was released on September 23, 2020. The trailer shows troops crossing the forest and as the trailer talks about the greatest traitor of history’s greatest empire and how this battle changed the world, we know that this watch will definitely be worth it.

The story is about a real battle named battle of the Teutoburg forest with the Romans being led by Publius Quinctilius Varus and Germans by their officer, Arminius.

We are expecting the series to remain true to the historical facts as it makes room for some creativity as well.
