Telugu star Nandamuri Balakrishna has courted a new controversy.
The actor's speech about the success of Veera Simha Ready has made the headlines.
During the speech, he mentioned Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s name in the wrong way.
“We use to talk a lot about shastras, my father, dialogues, aa Rangarao ee Rangarao, Akkineni, Thokkineni, etc,” he said.
But the grandson of ANR, Naga Chaitanya took offense to Balakrishna's comment.
Recently, he released a statement expressing his displeasure on Tuesday.
He wrote, "NTR, ANR, and SRR's creative contributions have been the pride and pillars of Telugu cinema."
He added, "Disrespecting them is degrading ourselves.”
Balakrishna’s disrespectful comment on the legends also hasn't gone too well with netizens.
Meanwhile, He is yet to respond to the controversy he created.
