The latest Walt Disney Co. animation to get a live-action remake will be Moana.

Disney Chief Executive Bob Iger announced a live-action Moana remake is in development.

Although the production is in its early stages.

The cast and crew of the movie have not been announced yet.

However, Dwayne Johnson is set to return as the demonic Maui in the live-action version.

Related to this, the rock also shared a post with a video.

He wrote in the post, "This story is my culture, and this story is emblematic of our people’s grace and warrior strength."

He continued, "I wear this culture proudly on my skin and in my soul."

Moana was a massive success for Disney in 2016, grossing a whopping $643.3 million worldwide.
