The genre-bending thriller Cat Person will be released in theatres this fall.

The renowned viral short story is transformed into a thrilling thriller in the new Cat Person teaser. In 2017, the internet was captivated by author Kristen Roupenian’s New Yorker short story on the trials of online relationships and the drama that may occur when such ties spill over into real life.

That narrative is the inspiration for a new film, directed by Booksmart co-writer Susanna Fogel and starring CODA’s Emilia Jones and Succession’s Nicholas Braun, that expands on the source material to create an outright genre-bending thriller.

In the trailer for the psychological thriller Cat Lover, college student Margot’s (Emilia Jones) love escapade with Nicholas Braun’s older, cat-loving gentleman, takes a frightening turn after their not-so-eventful one-night stand.

The trailer begins with Margot (Jones) texting Robert (Braun), a frequent visitor to the movie theatre where she works. Taylor (Geraldine Viswanathan), Margot’s best friend, is the only one who doubts Robert at first.

Despite being upset and uneasy on the date, Margot agrees to sleep with Robert instead of risk turning him down.

Margot finds that Robert is 34 years old after the encounter, which primarily disgusts her, and messages on how impersonal their interactions have been. 

She also tells her friend that Robert is a terrible lover. After not noticing any cats in Robert’s apartment, Margot becomes dubious of who he claims to be. As Margot and Robert’s relationship develops, she realizes he isn’t the guy he appeared to be at first.

While the trailer begins as a sweet romance narrative, it takes a nasty turn towards the conclusion, indicating the psychological surprises in the upcoming movie.

The film is being billed as an “exploration of gender disparities and the risky projections we build in our minds towards the person on the other line of our phones.”

J.A. Bayona Directs the True Story Survival Film ‘Society of the Snow’ for Netflix!

Bayona is returning to the real world with his new Netflix movie Society of the Snow, offering a narrative that may be his most spectacular yet!

The film is based on the story of a group of passengers who survived an aircraft disaster in 1972. The very first teaser for the film gave just a glimmer of the horrible conditions the survivors faced.

Society of the Snow chronicles a Uruguayan rugby squad on their route to Chile on Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571. The plane crashed when it reached the Andes Mountains, killing 29 of the 45 people on board.

The group finds themselves on a harsh and largely inaccessible surface. So they must do whatever it takes to survive — which could mean three months of being stuck before being rescued.

The teaser starts with someone taking photographs to remember the trip, beginning with group images on the plane – before everything goes awry.

The following images depict the aftermath of the disaster, with a guy narrating and wondering, “What happens when the world abandons you?” As the teaser proceeds, the focus shifts to the crew as they battle for survival in the harsh, frigid conditions.

It’s also worth noticing that the teaser avoids focusing on the collision, emphasizing that the story centers around the passengers. Aside from storytelling and music, the trailer prioritizes shots over additional language or sound, save for a more significant moment near the conclusion.

The first trailer for Reptile introduces us to del Toro’s severe and committed investigator, who has been called to his newest case.

The mystery involves a young real estate broker who died in her house terribly and horrifyingly. As is typical, the inquiry begins with a look into the partner (Timberlake), who might have a clue to the murder.

Insisting that he is not to blame, Timberlake’s character names several other suspects, including his girlfriend’s ex-husband, a close friend, and a mysterious stranger who had a peculiar interaction with the victim immediately before her death.

With Silverstone’s officer and the rest of his squad by his side, the lead investigator descends the rabbit hole of unraveling a web of falsehoods that will reveal unwelcome realities about his life.
