Amazon has been pumping some really good content into the entertainment industry over the past few years, from web series to movies, we have seen some really quality content in recent years.
Among all its top shows, American spy action thriller Citadel stands apart, it was released in April last year featuring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Richard Madden in lead roles, other top actors in the show were Stanley Tucci and Lesley Manville.
Citadel is one of the most expensive shows made with a budget of a whopping $300 million and it had six episodes in its debut season.
The first season received a 51% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and 6.2/10 on IMDB ratings, this was surely not the type of response the makers would have expected, but it’s still a good response to keep the train going as the budget is huge and there are plenty of exciting things to come in the upcoming seasons.

After the average success of the first season, it’s time for the second season to roll on and we have some spoilers for you. Amazon Prime Video has shared no official details related to the series but some sources are speculating that the release could take place by the year end or early next year.
By the end of season 1, there were rumors that the second season would be released around May this year but the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike caused the delay.
Nevertheless, as per some insider reports, the project is underway and as far as the cast is concerned, we would probably see the whole cast of lead actors back in action again.
