In Kagurabachi chapter 31, titled “Greeting,” things get intense as the Hishaku member confronts Chihiro Rokuhira, acknowledging his growth.
Chihiro, fueled by anger, attacks, only to find out that the Hishaku member is actually their leader. Unable to match his strength, Chihiro is cornered easily.
Meanwhile, an auction for the Shinuchi blades is underway. Kyora Sazanami narrates a story about these blades and how they turned the tide of a war that ravaged Japan eighteen years ago. Back with Chihiro, despite being captured, he confronts the Hishaku leader about his father’s death.
The sorcerer admits to his actions, revealing a desire to wield the Shinuchi blade and declaring war against Chihiro.
The auction of the Shinuchi blade is part of his scheme. Confused but determined, Chihiro vows not to let corrupt hands touch the Enchanted Blades.
When provoked, Chihiro faces inner turmoil but ultimately finds strength in his bond with the dying Cloud Gouger, unlocking new powers with the chant “Mei: Shred,” ending the chapter.
