Beautiful Rebel Part 2: Italian Rock Star Gianna Nannini’s Story to Continue?

‘Beautiful Rebel’ aka ‘Sei nell anima’ is an extraordinary story that chronicles the life of Italian rock icon Gianna Nannini. This is a highly anticipated film that arrived on May 2 on the OTT giant, Netflix, and we can proudly say that it was much more than just a rock concert experience.

The biopic movie is directed by Cinzia TH Torrini, and the cinematography promises captivating deep into the depths of Nannini’s life while she journeys from her formative years to her ultimate bloom of musical consecration.

The 1 hour and 52 minutes runtime of the movie revolves around Gianna’s central conflict with her father as she wants to pursue music as opposed to the latter wanting her to pursue tennis.

This repetitive flashback and forward change in dynamics culminates in a scene where Gianna threatens to expose her father’s infidelity to secure his approval. This twisting-the-arm approach certainly weakens the narrative.

With a lot of speculations on the movie, we may not know if it has reached its full potential, but we do know that Letzia Toni, who plays Gianna, certainly has shone brightly and done justice to her role. Her resemblance to the iconic rock star is uncanny, but her talent goes miles beyond just physical embodiment.

Will There Be A Beautiful Rebel Part 2?

Since the first part of the movie has only just arrived and was released on May 2nd, it is quite early to comment on the second part.

However, this only means that we have to wait and watch how the first part performs, whilst Netflix has to review and evaluate the performance of the first movie before the directors and producers come to any decision. Or before the OTT streaming giant gives its green light for approval.

It is always expected to wait a couple of weeks, review and evaluate the insights, the number of viewers who watched and re-watched, etc. to decide if a series/movie is successful.

The same goes for ‘Beautiful Rebel’ as well. All we can do is keep our fingers crossed!

When Is the 2nd Part Coming Out?

Given that the first part came out this week, there is a high probability that the second part won’t be premiering anytime soon before 2025.
