Young Royals Season 4: Will “Change” Everything for “Wilheim” and “Simon”!

Young Royals Season 3 was released in 2 Parts and Ended in March, however, fans believe Wilheim and Simon’s story is unfinished so there needs to be Season 4 of the Netflix series.

It’s certainly a big day for Young Royals fans with the final episode of the LGBTQ+ drama show landing on Netflix along with a behind-the-scenes documentary and the abrupt decision to end it here.

The news of the non-continuance and its ending after three phenomenal seasons has indeed caused great disappointment amongst fans across the globe, but it might help to know that a fresh documentary titled ‘Young Royals Forever’ will be streaming on Netflix from March 18th from 5 pm which gives fans an insight into the ‘what, why, and how’ about the cast, crew and leaving the series behind and bidding adieu.

If you didn’t already know it, this is exactly what the co-creator Lisa Ambjörn had always envisioned about the future of the series.

Why Won’t There Be Young Royals Season 4?

Young Royals Season 4

When the third season had come out, there was an outcry when confirmation was given about it being the last installment but this initial backlash had calmed down to an extent when things got out that it was Ambjörn’s choice.

At the time of the show’s renewal, she told Gay Times “I’ve always imagined Young Royals being told in three parts, and because of the fans’ dedication to our story, we get to tell the last one.”

“Because one thing I did know in 2019 was how it all would end. And now my friends, it’s coming. This season is the last one.”

With that being said, we know for a fact that it was and has always been her choice, and her vision and fans cannot undermine that.

She also mentioned that the last three seasons were beyond anything the creators ever hoped or dreamed for and they were thankful to fans for making all of it come through.

The final season is currently available on Netflix, and the last episode is also available to stream. It’s time to say our goodbyes!
