Guinness World Record holder and America’s longest-running soap opera, General Hospital, is one of history’s most popular television shows. Started back on April 1, 1963, on ABC networks making it more than 60 years in production, GH is the world’s third longest-running drama series which is still ongoing.

With shows running for decades, entries and exits of stars are pretty common and it keeps on happening now and then, but in some cases, it becomes toxic for the actors. Two of the big stars from the show who have left it have opened up about the reason that forced them to do so.

Nicolas Bechtel and Ryan Peavey Open Up About the Reasons Why They Left General Hospital.

Nicolas Bechtel who is a 19-year-old actor joined the show back in May 2013 and made his last appearance in an episode aired on January 20, 2020.

He was part of over 100 episodes and his on-screen presence was amazing to watch, so it came as a shocker when he left the show, his role as Spencer Cassadine was also axed. The reason for leaving the show was that he wanted to attend college, but fans didn’t like it.

He faced a lot of online trolling after the announcement, but the young actor didn’t hold back either as he humiliated the trollers in a long tweet on X. In an interview, Nicolas claimed that the negativity from fans was one of the reasons why he left the show and didn’t want to return.

Another top actor Ryan Paevey, who joined the show in 2013 and left it in 2018 gave an interview recently to US Weekly where he talked about the reasons why he left the show.

The 39-year-old actor and model said that his experience with the show left some bitter taste in his mouth, so much so that he wanted to spend some time outside of this fake world.

Just like Bachtel, Ryan also became a victim of some bad online trolling from toxic fans. The negative comments towards the actor became so bad that his fans had to come forward for the sake of the actor’s mental health.
