We have a new member in season 2 of the Netflix series Wednesday. The horror comedy series is one of the most popular and talked about series on Netflix, it has an IMDB rating of 8.1/10 and 73% on Rotten Tomatoes, it features stars like Jenna Ortega, Emma Myers, Hunter Doohan, Luis Guzman, Christina Ricci and more.
Wednesday was started back in 2022, it premiered on November 16th and was officially released on Netflix on 23rd November. Jenna Ortega’s popularity and her top-notch acting skills, amazing storyline, and not to mention some amazing performances by other actors in the series made it the second most-watched English-language series on Netflix within a week of its release.

Thandiwe Newton Roped In for Wednesday Season 2!
The tremendous success of the first season was enough to start the second season and by the end of 2022, the works for the second season went underway. Season two was announced in January 2023 and this time the lead actor in the series, Jenna Ortega is also the producer of the show.
The season would have been released by this time but the writers’ and actors’ strikes that took place last year caused some delays. Nevertheless, things are at the right place now, and we have some good news for y’all.
Variety has reported that Thandiwe Newton has been signed for a role in the upcoming season, the HBO’s Westworld actor is one of the most talented artists out there and she has been part of some successful television series for which she has also bagged several Emmy nominations. A few weeks ago, Variety also reported that veteran actor Steve Buscemi will also be part of season two.
The production for season two will start by the end of this month and the series is expected to be released next year. With so many great actors in the show, we can surely expect some fireworks in the second season.
