The details of the series aren’t quite confirmed but we do know that Netflix has acquired the series which is a six-episode scripted comedy series created, produced, and of course, written by the one and only Shane Gillis in addition to Steven Gerben and John McKeever. The show is prepping to set up shop on May 23, 2024, thereby marking Gillis’ second collaboration with Netflix.

‘Tires’ revolves around Will (played by Steven Gerben) a rather nervous and unqualified heir to an auto repair chain, who attempts to turn his father’s business around despite being at the constant receiving end from his taunting cousin and now employee Shane (played by Shane Gillis).

The series stars Chris O’Connor, Kilah Fox, and Stavros Halkias whilst Andrew Schulz graces the screen with a guest appearance.

The series is the second production gig from Gillis and McKeever’s company ‘Dad Sick Productions’ with the former’s stand-up special ‘Beautiful Dogs’ being his first.

Filming for the series is already done and dusted and the current status of the series is under ‘post-production’ with the premier dropping next month.

If that’s not enough, Brandon James is also serving as an executive producer for Rough House whilst Brian Stern and Kenneth Slotnick act as executive producers for AGI Entertainment Media and Management thus highlighting the collaborative elbow grease put in towards the show.

Gillis is also expected to produce a brand new stand-up special for Netflix which is still unconfirmed but is expected to release this year or possibly next month on 23rd May 2024.

Either way, the series is expected to release in May even though there haven’t been any trailer releases or promotional materials out yet.

Let us keep our fingers crossed!
