What Is More Important for Dakota Fanning Than Acting?

Dakota Fanning is one of the most popular actresses in Hollywood, the 30-year-old has been in the industry since she was just seven when she made her acting debut with the 2001 drama film I Am Sam.

Dakota holds a record of being the youngest nominee for the Screen Actors Guild Awards. Dakota’s supreme talent as a child artist was recognized quite early in her career which is why she did almost 24 films before her biggest break as Jane in The Twilight Saga.

Fanning’s career as an actor is nothing short of spectacular, it is no joke to do more than 50 movies and 17 television series by the age of 30, and the crazy part is that she is still young in her career.

For someone who has dedicated almost the majority of their life to the love of acting, you would expect them to dream of an Oscar or something closer to that, but Fanning doesn’t consider acting as her priority and neither does she give much importance to it.

Fanning recently gave an interview to Porter Magazine where she talked about her life beyond the silver screen.

Fanning said that although acting gave her the identity that she has today, and she recognizes the fact that she can’t identify herself as someone else besides that, she still feels that having a family and kids is something more important to her.

Fanning further said that if given a choice, she would always choose kids over acting and she has felt that desire for a long time. She doesn’t want to be consumed by her professional life and miss out on the other precious things in life, she also added that these days she pushes herself to do things that make her uncomfortable so that she can experience all the adventures before she becomes a mother.

Fanning was last seen in The Equalizer 3 and will next be seen in the much-awaited Netflix series Ripley.
