On Monday, the creators released the first teaser, highlighting some crucial events from the upcoming project, which will be released in 2024.

New medical procedures are often met with skepticism, especially when dealing with sensitive topics such as reproduction.

The Cast and Crew of Joy!

The main cast includes Thomasin McKenzie as nurse Jean Purdy in Joy. She began her career as Astrid in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies and then starred as Elsa in Jojo Rabbit.

James Norton portrays scientist Robert Edwards. He previously appeared as murderer Tommy Lee Royce in the riveting BBC1 crime thriller Happy Valley & Alex Godman in McMafia, and Bill Nighy portrays surgeon Patrick Steptoe.

He’s had a fantastic career, appearing in big films including Their Finest, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Love, The Constant Gardener, the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, Pride, and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1.

The film also features Jack Thorne and Rachel Mason, the actual couple who had seven rounds of IVF. They worked on the screenplay, and Ben Taylor directed. There has yet to be an exact release date for the movie. However, Netflix has announced that it will be released in 204.
