Joy Netflix Film Tells You the about the “Birth of IVF”!

Published by

Joy is an upcoming Netflix film that tells the true story of the birth of IVF. Netflix recently released a sneak peek for Joy, which brings us back over 50 years to when pioneering IVF research began.

Joy is a Netflix film that will depict the real-life 10-year fight to make IVF available to infertile couples, resulting in the birth of the world’s first ‘test-tube baby,’ Louise Joy Brown, in 1978. On Monday, the creators released the first teaser, highlighting some crucial events from the upcoming project, which will be released in 2024.

Joy | First Look Teaser

Joy is a compelling movie that recounts the story of scientific breakthroughs and faith that brought joy to many married couples. Louise Joy Brown, the world’s first IVF baby, inspired the film.

The trailer starts with Jean recruiting two researchers, emphasizing that her proposal would only be successful with their help. Patrick stresses the importance of the work, and the scientists agree. New medical procedures are often met with skepticism, especially when dealing with sensitive topics such as reproduction.

If that statement holds today, the situation during the late 1900s was even more challenging. The teaser is emotionally charged and captivating, as a hopeful woman expresses her desire to conceive and start a family.

“I just want to have a baby,” she tells the doctor with enthusiasm. The trailer sets up highs and lows for the three scientists.
