April seems like a really good month – especially for Netflix arrivals. The German crime thriller Crooks is all set to make jaws drop when it hits on OTT giant Netflix screens on April 4th.
The thriller series Crooks is centered around Charley, who lives a peaceful and ordinary life but things don’t go quite as he would like it when his past catches up with him and that’s when all hell breaks loose! This makes for quite a heist drama, and here’s what we know about it!
The Plot of the Series Crooks…
Charley is a Berlin-based ordinary man living a simple and peaceful life. Things are hunky-dory until his dark past catches up with him. His peaceful life is quickly disrupted when old ‘familiars threaten his family’s life and force him to steal a valuable coin.
Joseph, a clan driver from Vienna is also involved and is supposed to deliver the goods to Austria but when the extremely sophisticated plan fails to succeed, a shoot-out takes place with the inevitable climax with someone dying.
Charley’s fate with Joseph collides – and that’s where their connection is made. They must however flee and get Charley’s family out of danger and in the attempt to do so, two crooks have to assert themselves against the clans from Berlin, Vienna, and Marseille.
This makes the drama look quite inviting as an adventurous and action-packed road trip begins across the three national borders with friendship being the only way out alive. What’s the worst that could happen?
The unlikely bond between two crooks makes for an interesting pair and we can’t help but wait to see how the ‘unlikely brotherhood’ turns out between two crooks from different backgrounds.

When Can We Expect to See the Series on OTT?
Although there isn’t a confirmation on the dates quite yet, we do know that Crooks is expected to premiere on April 4, 2024. The series however will be in German, with English subtitles.
