Chapter 22 begins with Hakuri crying over Chihiro’s sad past. Chihiro then meets Char and Hinao at their new hiding spot. She says sorry to Hinao for leaving Char with her, but Hinao doesn’t mind because she doesn’t have much else to do, especially since her shop got destroyed.

Char wants to heal Chihiro, but instead, Chihiro asks her to heal Hakuri’s swollen face. After some talk, Hakuri tells them where Shinuchi is. He says it’s in his family’s secret storage, known only to their leader, Kyora Sazanami, who is also his dad. Meanwhile, Hiyuki and Tafuku apologize to Kamunabi’s Tokyo HQ for failing to get the Sacred Blades.

They find out Kamunabi doesn’t want their help in getting Shinuchi. They want to buy it in an auction instead of using their military skills. Kyora Sazanami talks to someone on the phone who has the other four Sacred Blades.
