Jodie Turner-Smith is finally opening up months after her divorce from actor Joshua Jackson. Jodie Smith filed for divorce back in October last year after four years of marriage, and the reasons for the divorce were “irreconcilable differences”, she also asked for joint custody of their 3-year-old daughter, Juno.
Both Jodie Smith and Jackson are popular names in the acting industry and they have had a successful career.
Reportedly, they met each other at Usher’s 40th birthday bash and were impressed by each other’s personality, soon the two started dating. A few months into their relationship, rumors started to circulate that they had broken up, but a few months later, People magazine reported that they got married.
Some sources reported that it was Turner Smith who proposed to Jackson for the marriage and the actor accepted.
Their marriage lasted for almost four years and they had quite memorable moments together, they made several media appearances during red-carpet events and looked stunning together. The divorce was indeed a shocker because nobody saw this coming.

Now, after five months of their official separation, Jodie Turner-Smith has opened up about why she decided to end the marriage. In a recent interview with Times of London, Smith said that her relationship with Jackson was a beautiful one, but she felt like the relationship had run its course, and it was time to move on.
Smith said that sometimes things don’t work between two people and it is OK to move on in that case as it is healthy for every party that is involved in the relationship.
Jodie also feels that it’s one of the bravest decisions to make, she was unhappy in the marriage and wanted things to change but it never did, and eventually, she decided to move on because it was getting toxic for her.
