Since its debut on February 3rd, the medical show has consistently topped the global charts and secured strong ratings in the domestic market. Not to mention, there was a ton of competition from AFC Asian Cup coverage, Knight Flower, Flex X Cop, Korea Khitan War, and much more.

On 3rd February, Doctor Slump made its global debut and managed to secure an average of 5.1 percent, which stayed consistent with the previous week’s performance.

What Is the Doctor Slump All About About? Will There Be Season 2 or not?

Doctor Slump revolves around the pleasant and heartwarming journey of Yeo Jung Woo (played by Park Hyungsik) and Nam Ha Neul (played by Park Shin Hye) – whose lives have taken an unexpected turn.

For those who follow K-Drama, you will know that this is Park Shin Hye’s return to the small screen after a 3-year hiatus from the entertainment industry and interestingly, she returns with Park Hyungsik after 11 years since their collaboration on SBS ‘The Heirs.

The drama certainly made an impressive debut, securing a position in the top 10 rankings rather quickly so we had high expectations – however, none of us expected the K-Drama to exceed all expectations by reaching the number one spot within just two weeks of broadcast.

Of course, the chemistry between Park Hyungsik and Park Shin Hye is a pretty strong factor that has contributed to the drama’s phenomenal success, but the last four episodes in particular, saw both actors care rather deeply for each other, thus inducing viewers to ‘ship’ them, thereby achieving the drama’s highest viewership rating of 6.7%.

With so much hoo-ha going around this show, we can safely say that ‘Doctor Slump’ is a winner all the way, and given that it has now hit the Global Top 10 series list, therefore outshining the competition – it is a given and an absolute must-watch.

Doctor Slump was released on 27th January 2024, and it is too early to say anything about Season 2 of the series I know you want the love between Yeo Jeong-woo and Nam Ha-neul to grow more. However, you’ll have to wait a bit more before that happens.
