Welcome Home Franklin Official Trailer Released on Apple TV+!

Peanuts fans have reason to be pleased since Apple recently released a trailer for Welcome Home, Franklin. The special will serve as an origin story for the fan-favorite character Franklin.

The trailer has a lot to enjoy, and this is one of the finest specials produced in quite some time. The Apple TV+ exceptional marks the 51st total adaptation of Charlie Schulz’s famed comic strip. Apple is also preparing to release its first feature-length Peanuts picture after acquiring the rights a few years ago.

It’s Franklin’s turn to shine in the new Peanuts Apple TV+ special.

Apple TV+ recently released the trailer of Welcome Home, Franklin ahead of an all-new Peanuts special centered on one and only Franklin and how he became a member of the Peanuts gang.

“Snoopy’s Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin ” tells the origin of one of the most adored Black animated characters we’ve been waiting for.

Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home’s trailer also revealed several easter eggs. It references an earlier scene from A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving and emphasizes diversity. It was also the first Peanuts content to include Franklin’s surname, Armstrong.

In the new special, we discover everything about Franklin’s origins and how, after traveling across the world with his military family, he settles into a new neighborhood and meets the Peanuts for the first time.

That is until the soapbox derby comes to town. Franklin is confident that winning the race will bring in new friends, and nothing could go wrong when he has Charlie Brown as his buddy.

But as the race approaches, the pressure builds: can the car and growing friendship make it across the finish line? Franklin acknowledges that friendships are not without flaws. The special, produced for Apple TV+ by Peanuts and WildBrain, will be directed by Emmy Award winner Raymond S. Persi and co-written by Robb Armstrong (Jump Start), Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano, based on an original story by Armstrong and Scott Montgomery (The Snoopy Show).

Executive producers include Cornelius Uliano, Paige Braddock, Josh Scherba, Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz,  Stephanie Betts, & Logan McPherson.

Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin” premieres on Apple TV+ on February 16.
