Mea Culpa Official Trailer Released on Netflix!

Published by

Tyler Perry & Netflix are like two peas in one pod these days, and their collaboration becomes stronger with each project. Their present cooperation, Mea Culpa, is their sixth successive project. This successful collaboration solidified Perry’s reputation as one of Netflix’s go-to filmmakers, particularly for riveting thrillers.

Netflix announced Mea Culpa last year, and recently, the streaming giant released the official trailer, which sets the tone for a nerve-racking thriller full of strange past events that will have you asking what happened in the past.

Mea Culpa | Official Trailer

Netflix recently released the first official trailer for Mea Culpa. Kelly Rowland stars as Mea Harper, a criminal defense attorney who takes on a case to represent Trevante Rhodes’ Zyair Malloy, an artist accused of killing his girlfriend.

The trailer depicts Mea’s struggle to maintain a professional relationship with the enticing client as she doubts Zyair’s innocence because of other people’s opinions.

As the Mike-star dug into his girlfriend’s habits & preferences, a strange tension filled the atmosphere. His descriptions, but comprehensive, appear to send shivers down Rowland’s spine. She breaks her strange stillness by telling Rhodes of their professional boundaries and explaining that she is his attorney, not a buddy to count on.

Just as everything seemed to calm down, something peculiar happened. Kelly and Trevante began acting romantically disturbingly, with candles flickering and whiskey adding to the weird mood in a dark, cold room.

The Latin term ‘Mea Culpa’ translates as ‘My Fault’ and has become a rib-chilling name for Tyler Perry’s latest Netflix production. It’s a confession, a load of guilt, & the film’s trailer creates a much worse picture than its two words reveal. A dark past casts dreadful shadows, and desperation weighs heavy.
