Lover, Stalker, Killer, the trailer follows the digital dating era in its true crime documentary.
In the approximately 2-minute trailer, we meet Dave Kroupa, who narrates his dating life, which first appeared enjoyable when he met a single lady, Cari Farver, in her thirties in 2012. “I made it abundantly clear that I was not going to be tied down,” Dave says in the trailer.
Dave’s love life was going well until he met Liz, a lady whose love of motorbikes won him over. What follows is a nasty, bloody story of a digital love triangle turned awful, with stalking and dating leading to a murder.
When “Cari” found Dave was seeing someone else, she began sending him frightening text messages, stating he “ruined her life” and threatened to come after him. She started chasing him and even threatened to set fire to the other woman’s house. But was the one who texted Dave Cari? There’s more to the matter than meets the eye.
In the trailer, one can easily hear directly from Dave and the investigators, who describe how this became one of the “strangest, most unexpected cases” ever.
