Recap Of Episode 1 Of Solo Leveling
In the very first episode of Solo Leveling, a decade ago, strange gates began appearing worldwide, linking our world to a realm of monsters. The brave heroes, known as Hunters, are categorized into six ranks based on their strength, from A to E, with the mightiest belonging to the S-Rank.
The episode kicks off with original anime scenes featuring S-Rank Hunters Baek Yoon-Ho and Choi Jong-In battling ant monsters.
Meanwhile, Go Gun-Hee informs Woo Jin-Chul about the Government’s concerns regarding avoiding a Dungeon Break. Characters like Yoo Jin-Ho, Han Song-Yi, and Cha Hae-In are also introduced.
Later, we meet Sung Jin-Woo, an E-rank Hunter tagged as the “World’s weakest hunter.” He joins Healer Lee Joo-Hee in a D-rank Dungeon Raid led by Song Chi-Yul.
Jin-Woo, supporting his comatose mother and aspiring sister with his meager Hunter’s Guild earnings, discovers an E-rank Magic Gem but gets injured in the process.
Joo-Hee tends to his wounds when another Dungeon unexpectedly opens. The team votes on whether to proceed, and Jin-Woo’s decision leads them into the second Dungeon.
Inside, they encounter a chamber filled with colossal stone statues housing the 10 commandments of the Cartenon Temple. Attempting to flee, they find themselves trapped as the statues come to life, posing a deadly threat to their lives.

What To Expect From Episode 2 Of Solo Leveling?
Episode 1 of the show was based on chapters 1 to 3 of the webtoon/manhwa, but it included quite a bit of new content unique to the anime.
The next episode, Episode 2, will probably cover chapters 4 to 7 from the manhwa if the anime follows it closely. However, because there are still important characters that haven’t been introduced yet, Episode 2 might also include some new scenes made specifically for the anime.
