In Monarch: Legacy of Monsters season 1’s suspenseful penultimate episode, Axis Mundi, fans were treated to a whirlwind of twists and discoveries. Lee Shaw led Operation Hourglass, a dangerous journey into the Titan’s domain in 1962.

The plan fails when the opened portal creates a vortex that draws everything around it into the tunnel. Lee Shaw (Kurt Russel) and his colleagues appear to have died, and the Monarch project is abandoned.

The show jumps to 2015 when Lee and May find themselves unexpectedly in the Titan’s domain and set out to find Cate. Meanwhile, Kentaro rejects orders to stop looking for his friends, who are supposed to have died in Tokyo. As the story’s elements fall into place, it becomes evident that time works differently in this intriguing world of Titans.

Lee admits this truth as he recalls his previous experience with the world, during which he skipped 20 years of his life. In 1982, he awoke to learn of Bill’s insanity and death. Cate’s destiny turns exciting as she awakens in the Titan’s realm and faces a dreadful risk. Keiko, who has spent decades surviving on this strange planet, rescues her.
