Daughters of the Cult is a documentary series that takes a deep dive into the history of a splinter group with Mormon fundamentalist cult members who followed Ervil LeBaron and perpetrated a grave wave of violence and abuse for several years – in the name of worship for their fanatical prophet ‘Mormon Manson’.
LeBaron and his followers were always hidden in plain sight throughout the Southwest and Mexico during their active years – currently, the past members of the infamous cult get candid about the true story behind the dramatic string of murders and other crimes.

The documentary series is a five-episode revelation that centers on the past members of the cult group as they talk about the cult in general. The series interviews the surviving ex-members (including several of LaBaron’s children, who speak about being raised under such a father!) as they talk about the ‘prophet’.
LeBaron and his followers were almost always hidden in plain sight throughout the Southwestern parts of America, including Mexico.
Fresh and impartial insight comes in the form of relatives and law enforcement generals who worked on the murder cases, thereby painting a rather emotional yet gruesome picture of a relentless, brutal madman ordering executions in cold blood.
The docuseries is produced by ABC News Studios in collaboration with Main Event Media and All3Media, and it also features the handiwork of Emily Bon, Jimmy Fox, and Jacob Cohen-Holmes as they work as executive producers.
The series reveals accounts of the various survivors, relatives of the killers, and such who offer a comprehensive look at the cult’s impact on society, the family members of the killer, and the world at large.
The series aims to highlight not only the horror, and chaos that was spread like wildfire but also the stories of victory, triumph, healing, and of course sisterhood among those who managed to escape the atrocities and rebuild their lives from scratch.
Daughters of the Cult is all set to be released on Hulu on 4th January 2024.
