In the ninth episode of Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead, which is titled “Treehouse of the Dead,” Akira, Kencho, Shizuka, and Beatrix travel close to Gunma. On their journey, they find a tunnel blocked by barricades and swarmed with zombies.
This forces them to take a different path, where they meet an elderly man named Masaru Kumano. They decide to assist Kumano in constructing a treehouse, which was also one of the things on Akira’s Bucket List.
Once the treehouse is finished, they bid farewell to Kumano and finally arrive at Akira’s hometown, Gunma.
Akira is overjoyed to reunite with his parents but struggles to repay them for their past kindness. Sadly, it turns out that Akira’s father was bitten by a zombie without anyone knowing. Simultaneously, another group from the village is working on completing their Bucket List.
