The streamer has released the official trailer for its forthcoming weekly romantic comedy series, Like Flowers in Sand. The Netflix original will be available on the platform in December as we approach Christmas, and it will chronicle the heartwarming story of a wrestler.

Like Flowers in Sand’s trailer promises an enthralling blend of romance and comedy.

The new teaser starts with a talented genius who is intensely immersed in the world of conventional Korean wrestling called the ssireum. Kim Baek-doo is a member of the Geosan County Office’s renowned ssireum team.

Despite being the clan’s youngest scion, he faces a personal request: he’ll resign if he can’t claim the prestigious Jangsa title. Baek-doo is on the edge of collapse, fueled and weighed down by the praise he previously enjoyed as an iconic wrestling protégé.

Oh Yoo-Kyung, his childhood buddy and first love, pulls him off the edge and sets him on the path to atonement through friendship.

With the team on the edge of disbandment, Oh Yoo-Kyung enters the team’s management and sees the former protégé’s troubles firsthand – despite his unrelenting efforts.

She hopes that by guiding him and drawing on their profound connection, she might rekindle his enthusiasm and belief in himself, paving the way for the team’s rescue and the potential revival of Kim Baek-doo.

The teaser hints at the growth that can occur in a person’s life when those around them believe in them. The trailer concludes with a touching tribute from Baek-Doo to Yoo-Kyung. “It’s because of you,” he explains. “I am back because of you.”
