Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Release Date Announced By Netflix!

Netflix has renewed ‘Blue Eye Samurai’ for Season 2! Blue Eye Samurai Mizu’s journey is far from ending. The aggressive, revenge-filled adult animated action series created by Michael Green and Amber Noizumi has been renewed for a second season by Netflix.

Blue Eye Samurai may have only arrived on Netflix in November, yet the anime has already captivated audiences with its action-packed & blood-soaked tale of vengeance. It’s unsurprising, given that the brilliantly animated title was deemed one of the best on television in 2023.

Blue Eye Samurai, like a lot of Netflix original anime series, does not adapt any source material and is instead a completely original Netflix anime series. Season 2 of Blue Eye Samurai is expected to be unique rather than adapt to other source materials.

When Will Blue Eye Samurai Season 2 Be Released On Netflix?

Netflix confirmed the return of Blue Eye Samurai for season 2 with a new trailer on X (previously known as Twitter). The series was one of Netflix’s most successful original anime released in 2023, so its renewal is unsurprising.

There’s no way to predict when it’ll be released, although the first season was greenlit in 2020. With pandemic conditions complicating production and the general difficulties of starting an animation project, we won’t have to wait three years for the following season.

However, turning out an additional set of episodes next year would also take a lot of work. With that in mind, the most probable date for a new season of the show is 2025.

The details of future seasons have yet to be discovered; however, the ending of Season 1 suggests Mizu is heading abroad to exact revenge. The show’s co-creators believe they have a four-season strategy to keep the blood flowing.

We know Mizu is leaving London, ready to make her way across a foreign land, perhaps with a lot of cultural shock, hoping to kill her remaining two targets.

Meanwhile, Akemi is on her way to the palace to exert whatever influence she can on Japan’s future, while Ringo appears to have found a new master.

All of this should result in a much larger, more expanded second season, broadening the show in fascinating new ways.
