Good Grief Netflix Official Trailer Released!

Published by

There have been several firsts for LGBTQ+ content in recent years, so it’s only natural that we see more from the creators of Schitt’s Creek. Dan Levy will debut as a director with Good Grief, a movie full of heart and humor that will be released on Netflix shortly.

We know this film will make us cry, laugh, and glow in the honesty of Levy’s portrayal of LGBTQ+ beings. Netflix has just released the official trailer, giving us a first look at this exciting project.

Good Grief | Official Trailer

The ‘Good Grief’ trailer offers a glimpse inside the film’s touching plot of friendship & coping with loss. It follows Marc as he tries to cope with life following his husband’s death.

The trailer features Marc (Levy), a children’s book illustrator, dealing with his mother’s death and seeking comfort in a new marriage. However, Marc’s life is turned upside down when his newlywed spouse, Oliver (played by Evans), dies unexpectedly.

Marc begins on a recovery path after facing the sadness he had ignored. To digest the tragedy, he invites his two closest pals, Sophie (Negga) and Thomas (Patel), on a vacation to Paris, where they spend a week on a journey of self-discovery.

According to the teaser, Good Grief is a thrilling new Netflix romance. Netflix has also issued photos for Good Grief. An image depicts Marc and Oliver sharing an intimate moment as they lean in for a kiss.

Dan Levy, who created Good Grief, is the show’s most well-known star. With Good Grief, Levy will serve as writer, executive producer, leading actor, and director for the first time.

Turning to drama in both directing & acting, Levy will reveal a more authentic side of himself that distinguishes the picture from his more caricatured performance in Schitt’s Creek.

Alongside Levy, Good Grief stars a variety of other talented actors. Luke Evans will play a supporting role in the film. Good Grief will star David Bradley (Harry Potter), Ruth Negga (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Celia Imrie (The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel), Himesh Patel (Yesterday), & many more.

Overall, Good Grief has a great cast, and I can’t wait to watch it when it comes out on Netflix. Good Grief will be released in select U.S. theatres on December 29, 2023, and available on Netflix on January 5, 2024.
