Our Son Heartbreaking First Trailer Is Here!

Published by

We are all set to see Luke Evans and Billy Porter — specifically their characters — as a couple. There’s good news and terrible news. The actors appear as a pair in the forthcoming drama Our Son; nevertheless, the film seems to be a heartbreaker, although crucial.

Bill Oliver considers “Our Son” a highly personal movie, and Vertical is viewed as the right partner because of its confidence in the film’s message of hope and reconciliation.

This heart-touching movie presents viewers with an emotional story of love, courage, and self-discovery in December. Beyond celebrating the progress of the LGBTQIA+ community, the film opens a new chapter in the fight for LGBTQIA+ equality.

Our Son | Official Trailer

The trailer introduces Porter’s Gabriel and Evans’ Nicky, a married couple. The film follows Nicky, an enthusiastic book publisher played by Luke Evans, and his partner Gabriel, excellently portrayed by Billy Porter, a former actor turned loving stay-at-home dad to their lovely eight-year-old boy, Owen.

While Nicky is dedicated to his career, Gabriel’s love for Owen is overwhelming, and Nicky treasures his close relationship with Gabriel.

However, underneath the supposedly blissful surface, Gabriel is dissatisfied with their marriage. After Gabriel decides to divorce Nicky, their family goes through a challenging time that ends in a custody battle. The trailer emphasizes their difficulties as they adjust to their new family dynamic.

The trailer focuses on the specifics of a gay couple who have a kid together and are going through a divorce. In one shot, Nicky proclaims that he is the biological father of their child but is informed that the law views both he and Gabriel to be legal parents. In another segment, Gabriel alleges Nicky of not even bonding with their child.

After winning the right to same-sx marriage, LGBTQ+ couples set the precedent for same-sx divorce. With so many queer rom-com about gay people falling in love in recent years, Our Son is sure to stand out as an epic story about an established couple going through a gay divorce.
