Doona! Season 2 Renewal and Everything You Need!

The debut season of the K-Drama saw amazing performances from Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong – and we’re sure about their chemistry for the Doona! Season 2.

Seeing the pair reunite for the next season is probably all that fans are thinking about – but, unfortunately, there aren’t very high chances for a Doona Season 2. Here’s why!

What Is the Series About?

The K-Drama series revolves around Doo Na, a member of a girl group called ‘Dream Sweet’ who left the group abruptly. Currently, she lives in the same house as Won Jun, a college student, and Doo Naa mistakes him for being her ‘sassing’ fan – comically, Won Jun doesn’t even know who she is!

This leads to incidents, curiosity and ultimately the inevitable happens – they fall in love.

The Renewal Status of the Doona Season 2.

Despite the amazing performances, Doona! Hasn’t made it to the US top 10 list. At the time of writing the series, it was only available for streaming on Netflix for less than a week which means it’s still pretty early to determine the future of the K-Drama.

The next few weeks will be a crucial deciding factor as to whether there could be a positive sign for the future.

What Are the Chances of a Doona Season 2?

With the events that took place at the end of the first season – it is rather unlikely that a second season might ensue.

Towards the end of the season, we saw that Doo Na and Won Jun aren’t together, and thanks to their busy schedules the former returning to become a K-Pop idol, and the latter applying to become a civil servant – the situations seem impossible to allow them to date.

In the final moments, we saw the pair in Japan – where both are working and they pass by each other quite like star-crossed lovers.

Doo Na turned to look and possibly sensed the love of her life was around the corner but despite the possibility of them meeting, they do not return to dating as they have both moved on.
