Blue Eye Samurai Netflix Official Trailer Released!

Published by

In the new ‘Blue Eye Samurai’ trailer, a hero vows vengeance.

The second trailer for the forthcoming Blue Eye Samurai animated show, set to premiere on Netflix on November 3, 2023, has been released.

Blue Eye Samurai | Official Trailer

The latest trailer for Blue Eye Samurai, a new adult animated epic, looks at themes of identity, social stigma, and revenge against a vibrant background of Edo-period Japan.

The official trailer for Blue Eye Samurai gives us the same feeling as watching a Japanese or Chinese film – the cloud of arrows in the air at one point reminds us of Zhang Yimou’s masterpiece Hero.

Another element is the extreme violence imposed in simple blows, the focus required for trained warriors to master their art, and the stunning landscapes that stay with you long after you finish watching. It’s no surprise that Japanese and other cinematic masterpieces inspire Blue Eye Samurai.

What Is the Plot of the Series?

Netflix

Blue Eye Samurai is set in 17th-century Japan when the country’s borders were practically closed. Citizens had no hope of seeing the rest of the world, but on rare occasions, visitors from other countries would come to Japan, often for illegal trade.

Blue Eye Samurai switches its focus to the series’ leading woman, Mizu (Eskine). Her mother was taken away by one of Japan’s four white men before she was born.

This eventually leads to Mizu’s birth, which she regards as a curse. She refers to herself as a “creature of shame” because she was born in Japan with steel blue eyes.

Mizu, now an adult, seeks vengeance on the monster who created her, aiming to kill the four white men who were present at the time of her birth.

Mizu finds vengeance nearly impossible. For one thing, women becoming samurai was unheard of at the time. Mizu hides her identity and wears glasses to protect her blue eyes to finish her quest.

While thoughts of vengeance engulf her mind, Mizu eventually discovers that beneath her warrior’s exterior, she is a person who has not yet accepted her true emotions and vulnerability; it appears that her quest is not only about retribution; it is also a journey of self-discovery.
