She and Gary, portrayed by Josh Gad, crossed paths by accident but somehow became the perfect fit despite their respective personal issues.
While they’ve overcome many obstacles together, including Gary’s strained relationship with his daughter, Emma, Mary’s ongoing werewolf problem poses a constant threat to their family’s happiness and safety.
This second season takes us on a rollercoaster ride of anxieties unique to their situation, exploring their challenges and how it all comes to an end. So, in order to know how the second season of the series “Wolf Like Me” ends, keep reading this article till the end.
The Wolf Like Me Season 2 of the show starts with Mary having a disturbing nightmare about giving birth to a monster baby during her wedding to Gary.
This dream reflects her fears about their child being a werewolf, making her too anxious to get an ultrasound. Gary, on the other hand, is working hard to build a perfect basement for their new house.
But the fancy basement only stresses Mary out. However, she gains confidence in her parenting when she stands up for Emma at school. She decides to get an ultrasound but worries about giving birth during a full moon, which could put her human child at risk. Their first full moon at the new house ends in disaster, straining their relationship.
When Gary meets another single parent, it seems like a sign that they might be safer apart. An argument follows, but Gary proposes to Mary, showing his commitment. However, a mysterious man from Mary’s past, Anton, appears at her baby shower, revealing that she inadvertently turned him into a werewolf.
During a full moon, Mary and Anton are locked in the basement together, causing tension in her relationship with Gary. They later resolve the Anton situation, but a new problem arises when Gary’s sister-in-law confronts them about their strange behavior, threatening to take Emma away. The pressure intensifies when Mary’s water breaks, just a day from a full moon.

In the end, Gary and Mary face a challenging situation as they try to control the birthing process to ensure their child’s safety. Mary can’t have a Cesarean birth due to her monthly werewolf transformations, and she’s worried about giving birth during a full moon when she might harm her baby. Despite Gary’s reassurances, Mary’s fears persist.
When Mary’s water breaks just over 24 hours before the next full moon, it feels like a nightmare come true. They attempt to leave the hospital to give birth at home, but Gary realizes that if the doctors deliver a baby that turns into a wolf with the moon, authorities will take the child away. They are helped by Sarah and her family who have witnessed Mary’s transformations.
Ultimately, Mary gives birth to a baby wolf, and Gary brings the child to her, proving that she recognizes her family in both human and wolf form. The season ends with a police investigation due to their past encounter with two bandits, leaving a cliffhanger and setting the stage for a potential third season.
