We have our eyes on this anime action series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix that’s scheduled to arrive on Netflix in October!
A video game adaptation that’s making its way to Netflix, Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix is a six-episode series from Adi Shanker. It began life as a DLC addition to the popular game Far Cry in 2013.
Thanks to its positive scoring, Blood Dragon has managed to breathe life and is soon preparing to air globally on Netflix!
One of the first things to notice about this series is that it is set in an alternative 1992 backdrop – way in the country that we formerly called the USA. It is now called Eden and is a technocracy ruled by propaganda and a lot of corruption.
Dolph Laserhawk is the man of the hour here as he is the super-soldier but he just got his heart broken by the love of his life. Interestingly, Laserhawk gets locked up in Eden’s top-security prison ‘Supermaxx’.
From a top-notch soldier to an imprisoned criminal – Laserhawk must learn to adjust as he leads a team of rebel outcasts (in prison!) on risky undercover missions in hopes of surviving.

Adi Shankar, the visionary behind Netflix’s Castlevania, and The Guardians of Justice – is the one with this brainchild.
He serves as the creator, story writer, and executive producer of this series and his other works include the YouTube channel, Bootleg Universe. Given his strong background, we expect the best from this icon.
According to him, the art style for this anime series is a ‘blended plethora’ of ‘art styles to deliver a visually distinctive nostalgic acid trip’.
