The ‘Neon’ Trailer depicts three friends trying to get into the Miami music industry. Neon, a new Netflix comedy set in the world of reggaeton, is now available.

The eight-episode comedy looks at the amusing and often heartbreaking realities of trying to make your goals come true in the music industry, whether it’s being the most prominent reggaeton singer, a music manager, or a music video director.

The official trailer for Netflix’s forthcoming music comedy-drama Neon has been revealed.

The trailer shows Flores’ Santi, a budding reggaeton artist who aspires to be the biggest reggaeton star. Santi must do all he can to get into the brutal music industry with the support of his two closest pals. It also teases the presence of Daddy Yankee and Villano Antillano, among others.

In the latest trailer, the three visit a music company and meet with their prospective A&R rep, Mia, who assigns them the duty of putting on a show to see what Santi has to offer, but he is tackled on stage.

Over Myke Towers’ “LALA,” we glimpse the challenges Santi will face to establish his value. “He’s not a one-hit wonder; he’s the true deal,” Ness says.

The story of “Neon” unfolds like a sun-kissed Floridian story, beginning in the calm embrace of small-town Florida and roaming through Miami’s busy coastlines and glamorous evenings.

This comic rollercoaster is a lovely blend of honesty and flamboyant aspirations, representing the harsh realities and extravagant fantasies that dance in our heroes’ hearts. As the story advances, it digs into the significant errors that sprinkle the road to creating a niche in the music industry, enhancing the narrative with comedy.

What is our trio’s common goal? To reach new heights and reign as the reigning reggaeton star, or, at the least, to make enough money to cover their rent. They strum the chords of ambition together, aiming to create a masterpiece that would reverberate across the industry.

The Cast and Characters of Neon.

Santi, the group’s emerging reggaeton performer, is played by Tyler Dean Flores (well recognized for his work in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Ava DuVernay’s When They See Us). Emma Ferreira & Jordan Mendoza (Kaleidoscope, Ziwe) play Santi’s best friends, Ness and Felix, respectively, and Courtney Taylor (Insecure) plays A&R rep Mia.

Other cast members are Jordana Brewster (Fast and Furious), Alycia Pascual-Pea (Saved by the Bell), Santiago Cabrera, Genesis Rodriguez, and several IRL reggaeton artists such as Jowell, Jhayco, Villano Antillano, and others.

Neon will be released on Netflix on October 19, 2023. The first season of Neon on Netflix will consist of eight episodes.
