An American actress and model with the name of Uma Karuna Thurman. She has played the lead actress in a wide range of films, including science fiction and action pictures, as well as comedies and dramas with vital romance elements. She was an Amherst Public Schools student. She fell in love with acting while she was a freshman in high school.
After meeting while working on the 1997 film Gattaca, Uma notably dated actor Ethan Hawke, with whom she later married in 1998. Before divorcing in 2005, they had two children, Maya and Levon.
The following year, in 2012, Uma and her ex-fiancé, banker Arpad Busson, had another daughter, Luna.
