Amazon Prime’s thriller series, ‘Wilderness’ follows the genre of British thriller wherein the story revolves around Liv and Will Taylor, a young couple living in New York, whose marriage is in the shackles upon Will’s affair being thrown some light.

Created by Marnie Dickens, and based on B.E Jones’ novel of the same name, ‘Wilderness’ shows how a wife’s fury turns into a quest for revenge after discovering her husband’s infidelity.

As an attempt to reconcile, the young couple decides to embark on an all-American road trip – with little knowledge that Liv is planning on revenge. An unexpected murder plunges their lives and turns them upside down with chaos.

Will There Be Wilderness Season 2?

The first season of ‘Wildnerness’ premiered on September 15th, 2023 on Amazon Prime Video. The debut season has 6 episodes with a running time of 50 minutes approximately.

Each episode was dropped on the day of the streaming and these episodes in general favoured positive reviews from critics. The performance of Liv was especially praised.

However, there is no confirmation on whether the series is returning for Wilderness Season 2 – and given that the first season only just debuted this month, it is pretty early to confirm.

Season 1 ends with Liv sending her husband to prison for Cara’s murder while freeing herself from the clutches of her egotistical and manipulative husband.

Thus, this offers a rather satisfying end to the plotline for fans across the globe.

If the series exceeds the expectations of viewership and proves to be a hit, then the second season could be announced by Amazon Prime Video in the next few months. Either way, a 15-month production cycle is expected so the second season would not be released anytime before late 2024 or early 2025.

Who Stars In the Season 2?

The series stars Jenna Coleman as Liv, and Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Will Taylor. The duo are likely to reprise their roles for the return of Wilderness Season 2 and Claire Rushbrook who plays Liv’s mother, Caryl, is also expected to return.

However, due to their deaths, Cara (played by Ashley Benson) and Garth (Eric Balfour) are not expected to make a reprise.
