The iconic period adventure romance comedy series Our Flag Means Death Season 2 is expected to return on HBO‘s streaming service Max on October 5, 2023.
When Our Flag Means Death arrives for its Season 2, be ready to set sail once more. The Max comedy series, developed by David Jenkins (People of Earth), started in March 2022 and attracted many viewers and admirers during its serial distribution.
The show was hailed for its unique and entertaining perspective on history’s pirate era and its positive depiction of LGBTQ+ people and relationships. The program was officially revived in June 2022, much to the delight of the show’s passionate fans.
Stede will embark on an adventure to find Edward.
Our Flag Means Death Season 2 Official Trailer
The official trailer for Our Flag Means Death Season 2 opens with the main character, Stede Bonnet, mourning how he let Edward down.
He also feels sorrow for giving up the opportunity to express his feelings for him during the program’s first season. Stede then chooses to embark on a journey searching for Edward, alias Blackbeard.
The two characters begin a love relationship in the previous season. However, as shown in the official season 2 teaser, they are taking a break.
However, as the trailer goes on, viewers may see them reconnecting. As a result, observing how their connection develops in the next season will be interesting.

A Major War Is Coming Soon.
The first trailer for the forthcoming season 2 of the series shows glimpses of various action-packed moments and preparations for significant war.
This can only mean a massive conflict brewing in the pirate world. The trailer also shows Stede attempting to prove his value as a pirate.
While the trailer does not disclose much about the nature of the future fight or why it will begin, it is clear that both Stede & Blackbeard will play essential roles in the conflict.

Will Our Flag Means Death Return for Season 3?
There has yet to be an official announcement of the show’s third season. However, the pirate-era backdrop and likable characters remain significant hopes for an additional season or two, especially given the show’s solid fan base. We’ll have to wait and see where Season 2 takes the plot.
While the following season has yet to be confirmed, series creator David Jenkins has stated that if Our Flag Means Death receives a third season, it will also be its final.

Along with Darby and Waititi as the star-crossed pirate pair, season two will see the comeback of Samson Kayo (Oluwande), Vico Ortiz (Jim), Kristian Nairn (Wee John, but always Game of Thrones‘ Hodor in our hearts), Ewen Bremner (Nathaniel Buttons—the seagull guy), Joel Fry (Frenchie), Con O’Neill (Izzy Hands), David Fane (Fang), Samba Schutte (Roach), Nat Faxon (the Swede), Matthew Maher (Black Pete), and Leslie Jones (Spanish Jackie).
There will also be recurrent guest performers Anapela Polataivao, Ruibo Qian, Madeleine Sami, and Erroll Shand, as well as guest actors Minnie Driver and Bronson Pinchot.
