American actress Drea de Matteo has been all over the headlines since the news of her joining OnlyFans broke out, and her fans are in real shock.

The 51-year-old actress Drea de Matteo has had a decorated career in a span of more than two decades and throughout this time she established herself as a very good actor and that’s one of the reasons why fans are shocked that what made Matteo join OnlyFans and that too at this point of time in her life.

It was in September last year when Matteo announced that she would be joining OnlyFans and she received tons of backlash for that the same account about which she talked about a year ago is now live from August, in a recent interview with the media outlet Fox Digital, Matteo has explained the reasons why she joined the platform.

Matteo said that in 2021 she decided not to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and this decision took a huge toll on her professional life and finances, she said that she was dropped by her agents and every brand that she was associated with, and her financial condition went so bad that she was on the verge of losing her house.

Now, all this happened because Hollywood made it compulsory for every artist to get vaccinated and since Matteo didn’t accept the decision, she was sidelined by the industry.

Matteo is quite vocal on social media platforms especially on X (formerly Twitter) and during the time of COVID-19, she openly expressed her fears and concerns with the vaccine she was flagged by the platform multiple times, and eventually, she even left X.

Matteo further said that last year she noticed everybody being on Instagram and showing their s*xy body and this made her think why can’t she do that and get paid for it, hence she joined OnlyFans.

Matteo also said that she is aware of the fact that people have been throwing a lot of hate towards her for her decision but that doesn’t bother her and what matters for her is that her kids see her as a warrior and someone who isn’t ready to quit.
