Kevin Costner Speaks About Ex-Wife Christine Baumgartner!

After a legal struggle over his child support payments to Christine, Kevin Costner has discussed his divorce in public for the first time.

The 68-year-old star has been fighting with Christine in court for child support payments. Christine Baumgartner, the separated wife of actor Kevin Costner, was unsuccessful in obtaining increased child support because Kevin contended that she didn’t need it and cited the financial assistance her new partner provided.

At a hearing to determine a long-term amount of child support that Costner will consistently pay each month for their three children, Baumgartner and Costner both appeared in court.

According to reports, Judge Thomas Anderle ordered the Oscar-winning actor to pay $63,209, which is slightly less than half of the $129,755 that Costner has been making monthly payments since a temporary ruling in July 2023 and slightly more than one-quarter of the $248,000 per month Baumgartner initially requested after filing for divorce in May, citing irreconcilable differences.

Baumgartner stated that she need that amount of money to provide her kids with the same standard of living they have with their father when they are in her care.

Kevin Costner said that she had bloated her projected costs with items unrelated to the kids’ upkeep, such as expenditures for cosmetic surgery, credit card debt, and even legal fees.

Baumgartner spoke during the hearing as well, and according to Fox News, she shed multiple tears while giving her evidence.

During his time on the witness stand, Costner fondly reflected on his 18 years with her, describing how she had made their house “beautiful” and “lovely,” as well as the “epic dates” they used to go on. The divorce, he claimed, has “shook up” his life.

Christine’s child support case against Kevin ended in a crushing defeat.

The court finally ruled against granting Christine’s request for increased child support despite her denial that she is dating Josh Connor. With this new arrangement, Kevin, 68, will pay Christine, 49, a monthly allowance of $63,209 to raise their three children, Cayden, 15, Logan, 14, and daughter Grace, 12. Baumgartner had been temporarily collecting $129,755 before the decision.

She argued for $248,000, claiming that it was required to provide their child the opulent lifestyle they deserved, but the court eventually rejected her claim.

The records also clarified that the children fly on private aircraft for prosperous holidays with their father.

The lawsuit emphasized the necessity of Costner paying Christine a sizable amount of child support for the kids to have comparable vacations while they are with her.

The statement also listed additional pricey pastimes and interests allegedly engaged in by the kids, such as fishing, scuba diving, surfing, and volleyball, emphasizing the expense of each.
