The Wheel of Time Season 2 Coming Sooner Than Expected!!!

Rafe Judkins developed the action-adventure high fantasy drama TV series ‘The Wheel of Time Season 2 which is scheduled to arrive in the next month.

The series is adapted from the same-named novel series by Brandon Sanderson and Robert Jordan.

The plot primarily follows a member of a powerful women’s organization called Aes Sedai on her quest to seek the incarnated version of a powerful ancient dragon who can cause the saving or the destruction of the world.

When Will The Wheel of Time Season 2 Be Released?

The first season of the series consisting of eight episodes was released on November 19, 2021. Ahead of the premiere of the first season, Amazon renewed The Wheel of Time for Season 2 on May 20, 2021.

Next year on 21st July a third season was renewed. Season 2 is set to be released on September 1, 2023.

The lead character of the series Moiraine Damodred who is an Aes Sedai of a powerful organisation of women looking for the incarnated version of a powerful Dragon, is played by Academy Award-nominated British actress Rosamund Pike who will reprise the role in the upcoming season.

In 2001 Pike was cast in BBC’s British serial drama miniseries ‘Love in a Cold Climate’ in the role of Fanny.

In 2011 she starred in the British two-part TV film ‘Women in Love’ in the role of Gudrun Brangwen. Louise Pike starred in the 2019 British comedy TV series ‘State of the Union’. As a voice actress she was cast in the series ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’, ‘Watership Down‘, ‘Moominvalley’ etc.

Daniel Henney-

Warder and companion of Moiraine-al’Lan Mandragoran is played by American actor and model Daniel Henney in the series.

In the upcoming season, he is expected to be reprising this role. In 2005 he was cast as the main character in the role of Dr. Henry Kim in the 2005 South Korean TV series ‘My Lovely Sam Soon’.

The next year he played the main character Philip in the K-drama ‘Spring Waltz‘. Another main character, Dr. David Lee was cast in the 2009 medical drama TV series ‘Three Rivers’.

The next year he played Kai as the main character in the action K-drama ‘The Fugitive: Plan B’. From 2015 to 2020 Henney played Matthew “Matt” Simmons as a guest cast member from Season 10 to 12 and as a main cast member from Season 13 to 15 of the police procedural crime drama series Criminal Minds.

The same role he reprised in ‘Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders from 2016 to 2017.

The character of Nynaeve al’Meara is played by New Zealand actress Zoë Robins in the series who will presumably reprise this role in Season 2.

From 2017 to 2018 Robins was cast in ‘Power Rangers Ninja Steel’ as Hayley Foster aka White Ninja Steel Ranger. Her other television credits include ‘The New Tomorrow‘ and ‘The Killian Curse’.

As Egwene al’Vere we find Australian actress Madeleine Madden in the series and is expected to reprise this role in the upcoming season.

In 2015 she was cast as Zoe Preston as main character in the Australian teen-oriented TV drama series ‘Ready for This’. The next year she played Corrie Mackenzie in the Australian drama TV series ‘Tomorrow When the War Began’.

In 2018 Madden was cast as Marion Quade in the Australian mystery romantic drama tv miniseries ‘Picnic at Hanging Rock’, as Crystal Swan in the crime mystery miniseries ‘Mystery Road‘, as Immy Dupain in the series ‘Pine Gap’, and as the main character Violca in the tv series ‘Tidelands’.

In the role of Aes Sedai of the Red Ajah- Liandrin Guirale, English actress Kate Fleetwood has been cast and will reprise this role in the upcoming season.

In 2014 she was cast as a series regular as Felicity Webster in the British television drama ‘The Widower’. From 2017 to 2019 Fleetwood played Nancy Birch as a regular cast member in the British-Anerican period drama TV series ‘Harlots’.

She starred as Princess Feodora in the British historical TV drama series ‘Victoria’. As Queen Luna, she can be seen starring as a recurring cast member in Netflix’s teen drama series ‘Fate: The Winx Saga‘.
