Is There A Trailer For Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Shibuya Incident Arc?

Yes, on Thursday, August 24, the creators at Toho Animation revealed an exciting trailer for the upcoming Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 on their YouTube channel.

This trailer gives us a sneak peek into what’s coming up in the Shibuya Incident arc, which is all set to premiere next Thursday, August 31.

What’s even more exciting is that the trailer features the opening theme song of this arc, called “SPECIAL,” performed by King Gnu.

In the trailer, we can catch glimpses of the Evening Festival sub-arc that happens just before the main Shibuya Incident arc. This gives us a good idea of how much of the story Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 plans to show.

The trailer is about 1 minute and 25 seconds long and starts with Suguru Geto deciding that the big showdown will be in Shibuya on October 31. Then, it switches to Yuji Itadori.

We also get a sneak peek of the battle between Kokichi Muta and Mahito from the Evening Festival sub-arc, likely in the first two episodes.

The trailer gives special attention to the fights between Hanami and Jogo against Gojo. What’s surprising is that the trailer features Kasumi Miwa using something called the Simple Domain and then switches to Atsuya Kusakabe’s Yuzuki technique.

Towards the end, we see Megumi and Yuji battling against Jiro Awasaka, followed by a quick glimpse of Sukuna using his Flame technique against Jogo. You can watch the trailer for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Shibuya Incident Arc above:

The trailer we saw featured the exciting song “SPECIALZ” by King Gnu, who also sang songs for Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The anime finished showing the Gojo’s Past part on August 3 and will start the next part of the season on August 31.

The Shibuya Incident is a big story part in the manga, one of the longest. The trailer gives us a look at a scene from chapter 115. Right now, there are still 18 episodes left for Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 to show.

But there’s a challenge – the Shibuya Incident part is made up of 59 chapters (chapters 79 to 136), and it’s a lot to show in 18 episodes.

Based on how they’ve done things before, it’s likely that Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 will cover at least some parts of the Shibuya Incident, maybe until chapter 120 or 125.

These chapters have important stuff that happens in the story. The arc continues from where season 1 ended and starts with the search for a traitor among the teachers and students.
