Adam Sandler & Bill Burr as Ageing Reptiles in Netflix’s Leo Trailer!

Netflix released a new trailer for the animated movie Leo featuring class pets on a musical journey.

Leo is an animated film starring Adam Sandler that will be released on Netflix in a few months. Adam Sandler, well known for his extended partnership with Netflix, will appear in this new animated musical comedy. The story revolves around an aging class pet and is set to air this Thanksgiving.

The official trailer from Leo, courtesy of Netflix, showcases the incredibly brilliant animation used to bring this colorful collection of animal creatures to life as Sandler’s lizard seeks to achieve his bucket list.

While the teaser doesn’t reveal much about the story, it does introduce viewers to the titular lizard and his closest friend and terrarium-mate Squirtle, a reptile played by Bill Burr.

The trailer introduces Sandler playing Leo the lizard, a 74-year-old classroom pet who has spent his whole life in a terrarium at a Florida elementary school.

When he finds he only has a year to live, Leo leaves his house and explores life in the outside world, only to get “trapped up in the issues of his worried pupils — and an impossibly harsh substitute teacher.”

The teaser for Adam Sandler’s next animated flick features amazingly intricate animation. Leo the lizard and his turtle friend are drawn with great attention to detail. The following sequences are aesthetically spectacular and are enhanced by outstanding voice-acting talents.

The trailer is a lot of fun, with the prospect of escaping from the classroom terrarium hinting at many humorous mistakes along the way.

Fans will be drawn in because the movie is also a musical, a genre not generally associated with leading actor Adam Sandler. This adds another layer to the drama, and fans will be hopeful that the songs are as engaging as the premise appears to be.

Who is in the cast of Leo?

Netflix

Animated movies usually depend mainly on their star-studded ensemble, with our fairy tale cast lists to be established.

Apart from Adam Sandler and Bill Burr, other members of the cast for Leo contains Cecily Strong (Saturday Night Live) as Mrs. Malkin,  Heidi Gardner (Hustle) as Eli’s Mom, Nick Swardson (RENO 911!) as Bunny, Jason Alexander (Seinfeld) as Jayda’s Dad, Rob Schneider (Grown Ups) as the Principal, Nicholas Turturro (The Longest Yard) as Anthony’s Dad, Robert Smigel.

Leo will arrive on Netflix on November 21, 2023, one day before its intended release date. Given Netflix’s involvement, it should be no surprise that the movie will be released solely on their streaming service.
