Yes, Call the Midwife season 12 has been confirmed. The series was established in the United Kingdom until 2024, meaning seasons will be 12 and 13. Each new season will have eight episodes plus a Christmas special.

Production for season 12 began in March 2022, implying that the show would continue on its current timetable.

According to a new note on the show’s page, Season 12 of Call the Midwife will premiere on Netflix on September 4, 2023.

The Christmas special premiered on the BBC on December 25, 2022, and the eight-episode 12th season ran between January 1 and February 26, 2023.

The whole Call the Midwife cast returned for the new season. 

Jenny Agutter not only returned as Sister Julienne after her near-death experience in season 11, but she is expected to be joined by Nurse Nancy Corrigan (Megan Cusack), Nurse Phyllis Crane (Linda Bassett),  Sister Hilda (Fenella Woolgar), Sister Monica Joan (Judy Parfitt), Sister Frances (Ella Bruccoleri), and Miss Higgins (Georgie Glen). 

Nurse Lucille Robinson (Leonie Elliott) and her onscreen spouse, Cyril Robinson (Zephryn Taitte), were both back. Fred Buckle (Cliff Parisi) and Reggie Jackson (Daniel Laurie), as well as Matthew Aylward (Olly Rix), returned as regulars. 

Violet Buckle (Annabelle Apsion),  Doctor Turner, and his family, including wife Shelagh Turner (Laura Main) and their boy Timothy Turner (Max Macmillan), had returned.

Rebecca Gethings plays Sister Veronica on the program and is a fresh face in Poplar.
