Phoebe Dynevor Returning to Netflix With Fair Play Movie.

Netflix thrilled fans by releasing a trailer for the erotic thriller Fair Play starring Phoebe Dynevor and Alden Ehrenreich.

The first trailer for Chloe Domont’s romantic drama Fair Play has emerged, providing a glimpse at the narrative of a recently engaged couple having to keep their romance hidden in their extremely ruthless environment.

The hedge fund Crest Capital employs Phoebe Dynevor as Emily and Alden Ehrenreich as Luke in entry-level roles, and Crest has a policy of no intra-office romances. Things appear to be going well at first, but their lives begin to turn upside down when Emily is promoted above Luke, altering their power dynamic.

Fair Play was one of the most talked-about films at Sundance when it opened, and Netflix eventually outbid competitors by $20 million for Domont’s feature directorial debut.

Fair Play Release Date

Fair Play made its international premiere in January at the Sundance Film Festival. The film will be set to be released in selected theaters on September 29, followed by a Netflix release on October 13.

Dynevor is most known for her role as Daphne Bridgerton in the Netflix series Bridgerton, and Ehrenreich was most recently seen in Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer.

Both are successful financial experts whose hot connection is hidden from their coworkers and outlawed by their shared employment. But when one receives an unexpected promotion, the repercussions threaten to devastate more than their recent engagement.

As Emily fights to establish herself in a male-dominated field and Luke suffers with envy over his fiancee’s success, their relationship takes a dark and potentially lethal turn as it is pushed to the limit.

As the two appear to be turning on one another, the film investigates the devastating gender relations and uncomfortable bounds of ambition in a fast-changing society.

Power and money are almost as potent an aphrodisiac as oysters in the banking industry, and the film’s furious gender politics between the handsome, young pair set it up to be a riveting, intellectual, and hopefully hot movie.

Critics who have watched the film, which premiered at Sundance in February of this year, agree. The early feedback is positive.

The teaser indicates a sensual affair that turns considerably darker and criticism of female power dynamics. “I just wanted to tell this story and say these things should not be normalized,” Domont said at Sundance.

“I just wanted to talk about something that had become unspeakable to me.”And, because he’s in a relationship, Ehrenreich is Han-not-alone.

Fair Play will be released in limited quantities in the United States on September 29 and in the United Kingdom on October 6, followed by a global Netflix release on October 13.
