The consequences of Climate Change were predicted decades ago and gradually we have entered into the time when we have started to experience some of those, from extreme heat to extreme cold and excessive rain to almost no rain, we are stuck in the loop.

In a recent incident that is closely related to climate change and its effects, Hawaii is facing an extreme wildfire that has taken the lives of 93 people and has impacted over thousand lives.

The wildfire started in the island of Maui which is the second-largest of the islands of the state of Hawaii and this is the deadliest wildfire that the US has faced in the last 100 years.

The situation in Lahaina is being compared to an apocalypse and the overall estimated damage is close to 6 billion dollars and counting, fear, and cries are all around and things are looking really tragic at the moment.

Jeff Bezos and Fiancé Lauren Sanchez Pledge to Donate $100 Million Dollar for Maui Relief Fund.

Amidst all the chaos, the world’s third richest man and the founder of Amazon has extended his support and has pledged to donate 100 million dollars to the people who have been affected by the tragic incident.

Jeff Bezos’s fiancé, Lauren Sánchez took to her Instagram and shared a post in which she talked about the situation of Maui and she mentioned that Jeff and herself have been feeling really sad about the people who have been affected by the incident.

With that said, they announced that they will set up a Maui fund and donate 100 million dollars for help.

Jeff Bezos is well known for his philanthropy works, and he must have earned the respect of lots of people with this move. Jeff has never shied away from donations, he publicly acknowledged that he will donate most of his wealth to charity and we are talking about a man who is worth 160 billion dollars here.
