The Spy Kids: Armageddon: Release Date, Cast, Plot, And More!

Published by

Here is everything we know about the reboot of The Spy Kids: Armageddon:

Netflix is rebooting the family-friendly brand Spy Kids, and the newest Spy Kids: Armageddon News promises a crazy journey with new cast members and two new titular spy kids.

The first film, released in 2001, featured Carmen (Alexa PenaVega) & Juni (Daryl Sabara) Cortez, two young siblings, who have to rescue their experienced spy parents Gregorio (Antonio Banderas) & Ingrid (Carla Gugino) from the wicked children’s television program presenter Fegan Floop (Alan Cumming).

The Spy Kids: Armageddon Release Date

Netflix

The Spy Kids: Armageddon release time is fast approaching, with the film set to debut on Friday, September 22nd, 2023. Unlike most Spy Kids films, the reboot will not be released in theaters.

Spy Kids: Armageddon will instead be available on Netflix. Spy Kids: Armageddon was officially announced in January 2021.

However, production was significantly curtailed in the aftermath of the COVID-19 outbreak. The latest Spy Kids film was ultimately finished filming in August 2022.

Tony and Patty, the young spies, are played by Connor Esterson & Everly Carganilla. Carganilla was first featured in an episode of Jane the Virgin.

That final one connects Carganliia to her on-screen mother, Nora, played by Gina Rodriguez, who also appeared in Jane the Virgin.

Terrence, played by Zachary Levi, is their other parent. Levi was most recently seen in the superhero film Shazam! Godly wrath

Billy Magnussen, well known for his roles in No Time to Die, Game Night, and Into the Woods, plays the film’s antagonist, Rey “The King” Kingston.

What can we expect from Reboot?

The announcement about Spy Kids: Armageddon does provide some plot details. Because the upcoming Netflix film is a reboot, the narrative of Spy Kids: Armageddon appears to be the same as that of the previous film in that two children, ignorant that their parents are spies, are obliged to save them.

On the other hand, the Spy Kids remake narrative has been moved ahead into the 2020s, with a premise that is more tech-forward yet less campy than the classic.

In Spy Kids: Armageddon, Tony & Patty, the children of famed spies Nora and Terrence, unintentionally help an evil game developer release a virus that allows him to control all of the globe’s technology.

The siblings must become spies to save their parents and, eventually, the planet.

While the preceding Spy Kids films had some intriguing technology, what has been shown in the video for Spy Kids: Armageddon is a step forward, and the tech-centric narrative propels the brand ahead, promising a family-friendly journey with high-octane fight scenes.
