The Summer I Turned Pretty Season 3 has been announced for Prime Video, as the young adult adaption continues to set records with its latest episodes.

Season 3 has been confirmed by Prime Video, as the young adult adaption continues to shatter records. The plot revolves around Isabel Conklin and what happens after she finds herself in a love triangle between brothers Conrad and Jeremiah. Season 2 of the show has been making news since its July 14 launch.

On August 3, Prime Video announced the renewal of “The Summer I Turned Pretty” for its third season.

When will season 3 of The Summer Turned Pretty be released?

As previously announced and confirmed by Prime Video, The Summer I Turned Pretty season 3 will start in a writer’s room or begin production once the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes are resolved. While seasons 1 and 2 have been released in the summers of 2022 and 2023, we can only hope that reasonable negotiations will finish in time for season 3 to be released in the summer of 2024.

Sean Kaufman plays Belly’s elder brother, Steven; Jackie Chung as Belly’s mother, Laurel; & Rachel Blanchard plays Conrad and Jeremiah’s mom, Susannah Fisher, the “glue” that ties both families together.

Alfredo Narciso as Cleveland Castillo, David Iacono as Cam, Rain Spencer as Taylor, Colin Ferguson as John Conklin, and Tom Everett Scott as Adam Fisher are also anticipated to return.

What will be the plotline of Season 3?

The following season will likely occur upon Han’s third and concluding novel in the series, We’ll Always Have Summer. A year after the events of It’s Not Summer Without You, Belly finds herself unsure where her heart rests between the Fisher brothers. She ultimately decides in the third book.

Though season 2 deviates in many ways from the novels,  the actors repeated that a third season would most likely follow the third book as closely as possible. There’s always the possibility that some of its prominent story aspects may be included in the show.
